Mission

Passionate about teaching students in developing countries, the founder of Stars for Africa, Daniel, travelled to Tanzania in Summer 2019 to work as a teacher in a primary school in the city of Arusha. There he discovered an environment that could not offer the children all the possibilities they needed to fully flourish.

Leaking roofs, a lack of nutritional value in their food and little to no access to books for students were only some of the problems that students in Arusha were faced with. While the pastoral care and the motivation of the local teachers was outstanding, they could not make up for the fact that these children needed better facilities.

In a very short amount of time, the association was legally registered in Austria and could commence its formal operations. Additionally, a team of passionate local representatives was formed to represent Stars for Africa on the ground in Arusha. Since then, we have started a new chapter in South Africa, where a highly motivated team of local volunteers supports multiple partner schools in the Western Cap as well.

Our mission is clear: Stars for Africa wants to provide these children with better access to education in order to sustainably improve their living conditions.
